Picture of Kytes Nest Farm

Red kite This remotely rural site was named after the red kites, birds of prey which were originally plentiful in earlier centuries. After a period of near-extinction in England, they are successfully beginning to re-establish themselves in Shropshire.

Badger Other wildlife is already thriving here, such as buzzards that can be seen wheeling over the fields. Their distinctive mewing, along with the sweet song of skylarks and the tap-tap of woodpeckers is all that breaks the silence, unless you happen to surprise a pheasant wandering along a track. Swallows and bats also swoop close by. If you are really quiet and patient, you may be treated to a view of a badger, fox or even deer.
